Cub Scout Pack 3371

Doing Things and Going Places

Cub Scouting means "doing."  Cub Scout do many different things at den and pack meeting while having fun and learning - crafts, games, sports, skills, songs, and puzzles just to name a few.  Much of the fun happens in the den and pack.  The den usually meets several times a month, while the pack meets once a month during the school year.  Special events happen during the summer months.

Cub Scouts also go to events like the annual Blue and Gold banquet, the zoo, pack hike, Buccaneer Bay, bowling, and the pinewood derby.  They go camping and have other kinds of outdoor adventures.  Some Scouts also take part in larger events and activities with other Cub Scout packs.  The Pack takes part in community events such as the Christmas parade and collects aluminum cans for Habitat for Humanity.  Cub Scouts is exciting!

While Cub Scouting is fun and full of adventure, there is more to being a scout.  Being a Cub Scout means you are a member of a worldwide organization that stands for certain values and beliefs.  It's all about the boy you are and the person you will become.

If you are in first, second, third, fourth or fifth grade, then Cub Scouting is for you.  It's for your family, too.  This is the first and the biggest of the three Scouting programs (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing).

By joining the Cub Scouts, you've taken your first step on the Scouting trail. Many boys stay in Scouting, in one way or another, for many years.  Some stay for a lifetime.
